Entrant (the “Entrant”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with, and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Big Lots Stores, Inc. (“Big Lots” or “Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects.
ELIGIBILITY: The Big Lots Back to Campus Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of United States (excluding Rhode Island) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Big Lots and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, fulfillment, advertising and promotion agencies, contractors and any other entity engaged in the development, production or distribution of promotional materials for this Sweepstakes, and the immediate family members (spouses, parents, grandparents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each of the entities mentioned above are not eligible. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. In the event that the Sweepstakes is challenged by any regulatory authority, Sponsor reserves the right to discontinue or modify the Sweepstakes or to disqualify participants in the affected geographic areas. Void in Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island and wherever prohibited by law.
SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIODS: The Sweepstakes begins on Monday, July 1, 2019 and ends on
Monday, July 29, 2019 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Within the Sweepstakes Period, there are four (4) entry periods (each, an “Entry Period”) and a corresponding random drawing (each, a “Drawing”) as defined in the chart below. Entries must be received during an Entry Period to be eligible for that Entry Period’s Drawing. Non-winning entries will roll over to subsequent Entry Periods.

- Step 2: Create your own Back to Campus board that contains at least 3 Pins from biglots.com, making sure to name it Back to Campus, and that the board is set as public o Feel free to re-Pin our content from Pinterest or Pin directly from our site!
- Step 3: Visit biglots.com/pin2win to enter by filling out a form with your name/zip code/email and a link to your board (the “Entry”).
Limits: One (1) Entry per person. One (1) prize per person and/or household throughout the Sweepstakes Period.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, or misdirected entries.
PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”)/ODDS: There are four (4) prizes available to be won, one (1) prize for each Entry Period as depicted in the Entry Period & Prize Drawing Schedule above. Each prize will consist of a $500 Big Lots gift card. The total ARV of all prizes to be awarded: $2,000. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received for each Drawing.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: The winners will be selected in a series of random drawings on the Random Drawing Dates for each Entry Period, as indicated in the Entry Period & Prize Drawing Schedule above. Winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received within the corresponding Entry Period by Big Lots, whose decisions are final.
The potential prizewinners will be notified via email within 5 days of the each Random Drawing Date. Potential prizewinners will be required to confirm their name and mailing address to Big Lots via email reply within 24 hours of notification. Prizes will be awarded within one week after each winner is verified.
If a prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if a selected potential winner fails to claim the prize or if a selected potential winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or he/she is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be randomly selected at the sole discretion of Big Lots. If Big Lots’ attempt to contact a potential winner fails to reach a potential winner for any reason including, but not limited to, the potential winner’s use of a spam filter, or if the potential winner fails to respond to the notification as directed, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be randomly selected at the sole discretion of Big Lots.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: Prizes may not be redeemed for cash. Prizes are not assignable or transferable. No substitution is permitted except if a prize is unavailable, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded at the sole discretion of Sponsor. No cash in lieu of prize and no exchange of prize, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Any other incidental expenses on prize not specified herein are the winner’s sole responsibility.
Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize(s) constitute permission to use winner’s name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video tape, photographs, and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media whatsoever now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.
GENERAL: Participating Entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Big Lots, and release and hold Big Lots and its affiliated companies (the “Released Parties”), as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each, free and harmless from and against and all claims, losses, damages, rights, actions and liability of any kind relating to their participation in the Sweepstakes, and the acceptance and use/misuse of the prize offered. Participating Entrants waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or use/misuse or redemption of the prize(s). Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the
Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any Sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules; and (ii) Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is not received by potential winner for any reasons. No liability is assumed in this Sweepstakes for any human error that may occur in the receipt or processing of the entries or for any of the participating stores’ or any third party’s failure to act in accordance with Sponsor’s instructions pertaining to the implementation of the Sweepstakes. The Released Parties are not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot be implemented due to delays or interruptions caused by acts of war, natural disasters, weather, utility outages or acts of terrorism. The Released Parties are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation, or for the theft, destruction or alteration of entries or for errors in the administration or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes, including without limitation mechanical, human, printing, distribution or production errors. In the event the Sweepstakes is, in the opinion of the Sponsor, compromised by non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes.
LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO
DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE
SWEEPSTAKES, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, Entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. All participating Entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of federal and state courts located in Franklin County, Ohio and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, Entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Ohio without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Ohio or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of Ohio. The remedy for any claim shall be limited to actual damages, and in no event shall any party be entitled to recover punitive, exemplary, consequential, or incidental damages, including attorney’s fees or other such related costs of bringing a claim, or to rescind this agreement or seek injunctive or any other equitable relief.
THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE THEIR RIGHT TO JURY TRIAL WITH RESPECT TO ALL CLAIMS AND ISSUES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT WHETHER SOUNDING IN
CONTRACT OR TORT, AND INCLUDING ANY CLAIM FOR FRAUDULENT INDUCEMENT THEREOF.
